A Sneak Peek at Cap’s Costume!

Today at TMT I saw a glimpse of what the costume of Captain America will look like in the new movie! Now keep in mind this picture is of a stuntman on a motorcycle-NOT Chris Evans! So if the suit looks a little clunky and weird that’s why. So far I like what I am seeing-even from the stuntman’s costume I can tell they have taken it in the right direction.

The simple fact that the first movie is based on his origin during World War II is incredibly exciting. The fact it has been described as being very Indiana Jones-esque too is music too my ears. The fact that he’ll be fighting a bunch of fucked of Nazi’s too is even better news-because what better villains are there really than a bunch of crazy Nazi’s getting an ass whoopin’? George Romero Blows & So Does Peter Vincent!!

Ok here’s the deal. Last night I finally decided to give George Romero’s “Survival Of The Dead” a chance as it was just released on dvd. You hear that? I finally decided to give the NEW Romero Zombie flick a chance! Ten years ago saying that would have meant I was completely crazy as imagining a new zombie movie from him back then being released would have been a gift from god. I was less than impressed with his last two movie quite honestly and this one seals the deal for me for good. I just don’t give a shit about new Romero movies. I actually got more enjoyment from the latest Direct to dvd Kevin Costner horror movie!

I can tell you honestly I didn’t even finish the movie. I am putting my foot down and refusing to watch anymore zombie  movies with shitty cg bood and gore. Especially one made by George. Believe me this one’s got cg gore galore-it’s effects look like they came straight out of the first Resident Evil game! Continue reading

Busey Teaches Us About Being a Man…

I watched the awesome 90’s action flick “Surviving the Game” again recently and decided that everyone needed a little lesson in life from none other than our favorite Gary Busey. Listen and learn a little something about being a man as he flips out in this clip and schools Ice-T on the topic of manhood! This is classic…

Pig Hunt Vs. Razorback!!

I just recently finished wathing the newly released direct to dvd Fangoria Frightfest flick  “Pig Hunt”. I must have tried to watch this movie four times before I actually finished it. Not that it was that boring, though maybe it did take a little bit too long to get to the real action, but mainly because I had such a crazy sleep deprived weekend out in Marfa Texas this weekend. Anyway there not too much to say really about Pig Hunt, the newest in the crazed monster wild boar genre, especially when you put it up against it older stepbrother, the amazing Razorback from 1984.

Razorback directed by Russel Mulcahy, who went on later to direct the Highlander films, was a work of art as it followed the story of a crazed Hogzilla in the Australian outback who’s on a killing spree. It’s been most effectively described as Jaws on land. With amazing effects and stunning cinematography this relatively unknown horror flicks remains as one of my fav monster movies of the 80’s. The Descent Part 3 Starring Kevin Costner!?

Ok movie fans I hope you can understand how hard it is sometimes to try and find a damn new release to watch when you’re completely spent on everything that’s been released recently. Sometimes when you’re at the video store you just gotta take a chance on a movie you’re sure is gonna be a dud. That’s where a movie like “The New Daughter” starring Waterworld superstar Kevin Costner comes into the equation. I walked around the video store for about a half hour before finally deciding the newest direct to video thriller starring Kevin Costner was going to be what me and my bottle of wine would sit and probably fall asleep to the other evening.

Yeah my friday night consisted of drying my laundry at the laundromat, drinkin’ wine alone and giving good old Costner another chance. I was curious too, has Costner even been in a theatrically released movie in the past 5 years?? Well anyway it didn’t matter as I was ready to get drunk and watch a timid generic thriller and probably dose off.

Anyway I will say the movie indeed started off like the usual PG-13 thriller, Cos moves to a new home with his son and daughter and not long after she begins to  act strangely after hearing whispers in the new house. It was totally on parin the begining with Dragonfly, which I think was the closest thing Costner has done to a horror movie. However very soon in the film I was pleasantly surprised when outside the girls room, we hear a creepy moan and then we get a glimpse of a monster crawling around on their roof!! Continue reading

The Avengers Teaser Trailer!

Well I have been away from the computer for a few days so it was just today that I saw the teaser trailer for the new avengers upcoming flick-It’s not much really but at least we got something!

I am crossing my fingers that this movie is going to be quite astonishing! Hopefully we can keep the rest of the cast together as now if any other of the major players drop out of the race it’s just NOT gonna hold it’s weight.  We’ve already Lost Edward Norton and Terrence Howard who quite honestly the best actors of the whole bunch! Here is this minalmalistic teaser trailer in all it’s glory for those of you who may not have seen it yet!!

THE TECHNICOLOR NIGHTMARE PT.3-BODY TROOPERS

BODY TROOPERS, AKA: CHASING THE KIDNEYSTONE (Idsoe, 1996)

A decade after Joe Dante made INNER SPACE, a Norwegian woman made a movie about a boy and his grandpa’s kidney stone. What follows is a disturbing art film about bodily functions and fluids.  Get ready for a swim! (WARNING: gross stuff ahead)

BODY TROOPERS-CHASING THE KIDNEYSTONE Poster

Simon lives with his grandpa, a widowed saxophonist, and they have a self-pitying stuffed bear that talks like a hot dog salesman. The night before grandpa’s jazz band reunion show (whom grandma sang for) he wakes up Simon with the kind of groaning that a football to the crotch or bad burrito will induce. Feeling helpless, the boy and the whiny bear bust out a chemistry set and shrink Simon to microbial size.

It all starts with grandpa’s mouth (specifically his giant lip and tongue). Simon steps over taste buds the size of basketballs, some of which talk. A lot. They even have telephones.

Bitter Bud on her flesh phone.

They are disturbed by the boy and want to know how he tastes. Bitter bud calls the Brain. Continue reading

Get Excited For the GOON!!

Wow I just recently saw the teaser trailer for the upcoming Goon Movie adaptation and it’s looking incredible!! Those of you who aren’t familiar with the Goon should check out the trade paperbacks from Dark Horse comics, they are anything but ordinary! With the fantastic artwork and macabe stories of Eric Powell this comic has got to be one of the most off the wall books I have read in years. Trust me.

Check out this rad teaser from David Fincher, starring Paul Giamatti and Clancy Brown. It looks liek this is the perfect medium for this comic to be portrayed on film-I can’t wait!!

New Thor Movie Pic and Captain America teaser Poster!!

These two new images were just released today via USA Today. I gotta say I think Thor looks pretty bad ass so far!

The Cap poster looks cool too-but I am really waiting to see what the costume is going to end up looking like!! I am pumped so far-Now we just need Edward norton back dammit!!!!

Inception Vs. Dreamscape!

Ok it’s been a while since I have been blogging on here-I must admit have been slackin’ a bit but now that I am the only real blogger on here. It’s been a bit difficult keeping up the momentum since the summer has started and really kicked in here in Portland Oregon. Remember everyone, this is the only three months that we really get any real sunshine!! So yeah I have been busy soaking up the rays and enjoying the times that sometimes only summer really can seem to bring. Anyway enough about my slackness and onto bigger matters as yeah well last week friday on opening night I went to see Chris Nolan’s big summer blockbuster “Inception”.

Well what did I think ? Quite honestly it seemed to have everything going for it-Nolan writing, directing and producing a thriller about entering dreams and basically doing battle there and implanting thoughts through the night time fantasies that we all have every evening.  After the first hour I must say I was ready for an epic masterpeice. It was all set up for a crazy tripped out adventure in dreamland. The only problem was that a half hour later I was ready to snooze myself Continue reading
