The Walking Dead TV Series Pilot!
So the word on the street the past couple days is all about The Walking Dead! As reported by Variety it seems that the project is even closer now to hitting the small screen as AMC has greenlit a pilot!
I must say I am more than pumped by this move as the comic has got to be the best out there hitting the shelves. I have made comparisons to people of The Walking dead being the comic book equivalent to “LOST” as once you start reading you just can’t stop. I am pretty sure that this show is going to be absolutely huge as there has never ever been a show like it. Plus having just recently rewatched “The Mist” which Frank Darabont directed as well this news seems that much more exciting. Having him directing is going to make this show pretty amazing. Let’s face it the creatures in The Mist looked pretty bad, but the way he handled the human interaction was brilliant and exactly what a show like The Walking Dead needs. The Crazies and the Descent return..
Here’s another remake (of course) of a classic George Romero movie called “The Crazies”. I have actually heard alot of good things about this one and the trailer looks pretty decent as well. I’ve been itching to see a new horror movie in theaters but to be honest now days they have too look pretty amazing for me to spend ten bones at the theater! This one looks like it could maybe be worth the money.

Whoah! New Moon is making box office history! The biggest opening of all time?!! Beating out the Dark Night?! Start boarding the doors and windows because this movie is turning people into mindless zombies with horrible taste in movies!! I knew it! Wow, I must say It is a sad day in the world with news like this…

DEADWORLD movie!! One of BEST zombie comics to hit the big screen!
It really surprises me how many people have never read or for that matter even heard of the awesome 1987 comic book Deadworld! This is a great apocolyptic zombie tale that follows a group of Teens traveling in a school bus cross country on the run from the undead. There is a twist though, a group of zombies have gained human intellegence and this gang rides around on Harleys, speak their mind and are led by a bad ass undead biker named “King Zombie” who’s determined to open the gateway to Hell on Earth!
4 Horror flicks you didn’t know you were excited for!
Being a big horror fan I always looking forward to possible awesome new movies! So right now here the ones I have been hearing the most about that look pretty promising. I doubt most of these will have a theatrical release here but that just means that they’ll probably be that much better than most of the movies passing in the theaters today as horror. “Trick R’ Treat” is supposed to be an awesome throwback to movies like “Creepshow” that had several creepy tales in one movie. This is something that most movies today can’t seem to get right. I’ve heard alot of great things about this one across the board! It’s coming out sometime in October…
Why have i not seen “dead heat” before???!
Last night I watched “Dead Heat” for the first time ever and I must say it was pretty damn rad! I really can’t beleive I have never seen it before. It stars Treat Williams and Joe Piscopo of Saturday Night Live fame. It’s basically an awesome 80’s buddy cop movie with zombies and some cool monsters. It’s premise is simple, someone is reanimating dead people from the morgue and using them as zombie criminals. Then it’s up to Treat and Piscopo, who serves as the poor man’s Mel Gibson, to get to the bottom of all this funny business. It’s got some really original scenes as well, such as zombies using machine guns and the restaurant kitchen scene where everything from fried chicken, to liver and a side of beef become enraged killing machines! It was a nice surprise to see an actual flick from the 80’s I had never seen before that really delivered the goods! So if you find yourself at the local video store craving something totally campy and highly entertaining check out this classic from 1987!!
Best HORROR MUSIC VIDEO EVER? George Romero & The Misfits want in!
Hey I know alot of people dissed on second incarnation The Misfits with Michale Graves but you know what? I kinda liked them! Say what you will (like they suck complete bull frog butt wang) about the current line up of Jerry Only, Dez Cadena and Robo but I have always kinda shamefully enjoyed the “American Psycho” and “Famous Monsters” albums. I even saw them live once in 1997! Don’t get me wrong I think Jerry Only is a total douche, especially with his current line-up calling themselves the Misfits and Danzig (a douche as well) should just give in and give us a real Misfits tour already. Either way you see it i thought is was pretty cool that the Graves led Misfits made a video that was directed by horror legend George Romero for thier song “Scream”!! They also appeared in his crap-tastic movie “Bruiser”. Check this video out as it enters in the running for Universal Dork’s “Best Horror Themed Muisc Video” and goes up against Wacko Jacko’s “Thriller” which holds the numer one slot…
