JLA 1997 TV Pilot? REALLY?

I just heard yesterday about this JLA Tv pilot from 1997 that you can see on Youtube now, yeah you can watch the whole damn wretched thing! I honestly didn’t even know this existed until I read about it in The Portland Mercury yesterday. It’s from back in 1997, it never saw the light of day and I can undertsand why! It totally sucks in every way possible. It’s super flippin’ boring for a show that is supposed to be about some of the earth’s mightiest heroes! Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman knew better than to get involved in this terd! Seriously I combed over what I could stomach of this hunk of shit and could barely find anything that remotely resembled an  action sequence-it’s no wonder  no tv station wanted this shit on the air-check it out here…bizarre!!!

It’s About Damn Time Clark!

Well isn’t it? I mean how long have we had to wait for this moment? Ten seasons it seems but  let’s still keep in mind it still may not really happen-at most I bet we get just a glimpse of  Tom at the end of the season donning the  red n’ blue tights. But who knows-maybe Zack Snyder will be so  impressed with Welling in the suit that he’ll cast him in his own movie?!  Highly doubtful I know but there have been rumors  of a possible television movie to follow the final season.  I for one feel he should have  hopped in the suit a long time ago! It  probably would have  given the show the kick start it really needed….

HD Digital TV Blu-ray SHIT Phenomenon!

Ok I have been noticing lately that everyone has got these fancy ass tv sets in their house that look like computer monitors. Supposedly they’re the wave of the future with their digital images and and HD precison. I’ve been watching movies and Tv shows at friend’s places on their two thousand dollar “killer ass” Tv sets and you know what? I think they SUCK! Wanna know the reason why? Well last night I was watching “Purple Rain” on one and I noticed once again that most of the movie when viewed on a Tv like that somehow seems to look like a cheezy soap opera!! Like a damn episode of “Saved By the Bell”!

It’s the strangest thing I’ve ever seen-half the movie looked like a normal movie-then suddenly a shot comes in and it looks like Prince is starring in a lost epsode of General Hospital!!! Does anyone out there know what I’m talking about?? Am I completely crazy??

Guillermo Del Toro meets Incredible Hulk!!!!

Wow I am sooooo blown away by the news that I just heard I feel like I must be dreaming! It seems that a certain incredible creative team is getting ready to blow some life back into the Hulk again in a big way! Apparently Guillermo Del Toro and David Eick of Battlestar Galactica fame will teaming up to bring us a brand spankin’ new vision of the Hulk for our TV screens according to Deadline.

This is probably the BEST Hulk news yet as everyone knows Guillermo knows how to make a good comic book movie (Hellboy, Blade 2) and certainly knows how to bring a monster to life!! It seems that Del Toro will be directing and Deadline reported this little interesting bit of info that also makes me sing with glee to the  jade giant: “Del Toro will also oversee the designing of the Hulk character, which is expected to draw on previous comic book incarnations, as well as the original 1978-82 Incredible Hulk TV series, with a few wild tweaks on the old look. Unlike the two Hulk movies, in which the monster was a pure CGI creation, the series will employ a mixture of prosthetics, puppetry and CGI.”

Finally!!! A realistic version of the Hulk to look forward to! Continue reading

Don’t Be Afraid of 70’s Made for TV Movies ..

You remember that old Tv movie from the 70’s “Don’t be Afraid of the Dark”?? No? Well I do and it was pretty creepy-apparently Guillermo del Toro thought so too as he’s producing the upcoming….yeah…you guessed it…REMAKE!

Well I have to say I trust ol’ Guillermo with my movies as he’s pretty much never let me down. It seems from the preview too that this one is going to be worth checking out! Continue reading

New Walking Dead Tv Spot!

AMC has just released a brand new Tv spot for the new Walking Dead series coming this Halloween today!! Yeah I have hyped the shit out of it here so I’ll just shut up and post it! If you haven’t heard about this show or comic book you must be living in a cave. This makes me even more excited for this show than I was before…

Hasselhoff’d Nick Fury Remembered!!

Could it be that I just blocked this incredible peice of tv cinema from my memory?? Is it possible that I have never seen the David Hasselhoff “Nick Fury” movie before?? Yes. Apparently the Nick Fury movie came out in 1998 and was made for tv-perhaps my mind just refused at the time to register this? Well whatever the case I need to check this out as soon as possible!

From this lengthy trailer it appear that this one could be a real golden turd! I mean how could this one have slipped under the radar for so many years?? Well truth be told here I kinda dig Hoff in the role-at least appearance-wise.

Anyway I am off to ebay to find this one and hopefully it will live up to all of my expectations as bad movie GOLD…..

Brotha!!!!

Even though Lost is over and done with we can still remember it’s best moments forever. One of my fav characters was of course Desmond and yeah, throughout the show’s run my friends and I would always laugh at his lingo, most particularly his constant over use of the word “brotha”. Now if you are a Lost fan you all know what I’m talking about, but incase you need a reminder of just how god damn often he said it take a look at this “Brotha” compilation for youself!!

The Walking Dead Trailer Arrives!!

Ok so here’s the moment I have been waiting for quite some time to finally see some of the upcoming scenes from The Walking Dead television series debuting this coming October!

The comic series continues to be the best monthly title out there-with enough suspense, gore and drama to give you a coronary!! The trailer looks fantastic so far-however I am extremely surprised that they kept the 28 Days Later style beginning as that is the only thing that ever really bothered me about the comic.  So enough of my preachy blabblin’ to the choir! Let’s finally take a first look at this hopefully wonderful series that is destined to be a classic!!

Marilyn Manson on LOST!

So here we are just one episode away from the grand finale of LOST!! I never thought we’d ever be this close to the end of the series. It’s been a good run so far this season but I’m seriously hoping that the ending is seriously epic and that it will be something we will be talking about for months. It’s going to be sad to say goodbye to all of the crew, Hurley, Jack (whom I have grown to love), Sawyer, Kate, Jin, Sun and most of all Locke! I have said it for a long time, ever since the beginning actually that Locke was the most important and intriguing character on the entire show. But now we all wonder how long Locke has been the real Locke, if the real Locke will indeed return and most of all his significance to the entire show. Anyway I today just ran across a picture painted of Locke by none other than everybody’s fav shock rocker Marilyn Manson. Now I’m not a huge fan of Manson’s music but I have always found him to be quite interesting to say the least. Who would have thought he too was such a big LOST fan and even more so loved Locke so much that he painted a portrait of him!!
