The New Small Screen Hulk: Human or Cg?

So I am quite sure you have all heard the news out there about Marvel’s big plan to reboot the Incredible Hulk television show. I was personally quite surprised at the idea but at the same time excited and upset. The original  tv show was one of my all-time favs as a kid and even as an adult I own the episodes on dvd and still will argue that good ol’ Lou Ferrigno is the best Hulk to hit the big or small screen. So what does this all mean for the upcoming tv show?

Rumor has it that it will feature a similar storyline with the “Banner on the Run” theme once again. This all sounds great when you look back at the old series, but still there must be a reason why the two movies were never really that well recieved. When Lou Ferrigno was aksed why the show was such a success and the movies tanked he hit the nail on the head Continue reading

Just Cast Captain America & Let’s Get on With It Already Dammit!

Word on the street is that there is once again no decision on who is gonna play the role of Cap! Come on Joe Johnston, you were given the dealine of March 1st to pick someone-get your shit together already! Not only is there no frontfrunner for the part but Johnston has also decided to bring in some more candidates for the part. Now pointing to Channing Tatum from the  super studpid G.I. Joe movie and also Ryan Phillipe who starred in the equally lame Cruel Intentions. Wow exciting huh? Not so much.

I am personally biting my tongue for anything I said about Leonardo Dicaprio getting the role of Cap a while back!  Continue reading

Luke Cage Leads The Avengers!

Well it’s really not that big of a suprise that Luke Cage will be back in the ranks of the Avengers again now is it? It’s time it seems for a revamp on the Avengers titles once again by Mr. Bendis. Maybe this time we’ll get an amazing run with top notch writing and art  like “Disassembled” or the first New Avengers arc “Break Out” both which blew my mind! I am actually pretty excited about a relaunch here-to start fresh so to say. I missed out on alot of the Avengers business as when Secret Invasion kicked in I soon lost interest in the story line and title.

This marks the new beginnings of  The Avengers, New Avengers and Secret Avengers. Continue reading

Possibly the greatest Marvel comic ever releases on 5/13

Next Wednesday, the 13th, we’ll all be rushing to the shop to pick up our usual pulls but the real money’s worth is going to be in the premiere issue of the greatest assembly of Marvel heroes: LOCKJAW AND THE PET AVENGERS!!

Finally, we’re getting a long overdue Lockjaw book! Issue #1 of the 4 issue limited series shows how only the most heroic of Marvel’s pets can save the universe from a major threat. I can’t wait to follow Lockjaw, Redwing, Frog Thor, Lockheed and Hairball (Speedball’s cat) on their quest to protect the Infinity Gems. Last we saw of the gems was in the New Avengers: Illuminati #2, being divied out amongst the secret group. Lockjaw has long been destined to lead a team of Avengers, no better time than now!

it’s 2009, bRING BACK ALPHA FLIGHT ALREADY DAMMIT!

I have been missing a good Alpha Flight title since John Byrne left it in the 1980’s. Yes it’s true I am an Alpha Flight fan and I am proud of  it! I’m STILL pissed off that Bendis killed them off in 2006! I still need to confront him about that (he lives here in Portland Oregon and we see him all over the place) and you know what? Omega Flight just didn’t fill the void. I want the real deal back. Guardian, Sasquatch, Puck, Shaman, Vindicator, Aurora, Northstar, Snowbird and hell even Marrina!
