Forget Vampires…More Werewolves!
Historically, and most notably in the last couple years, Vampires have been ruling the roost of the classic horror style monsters. From Nosferatu, through the Anne Rice years, and now with True Blood and Twinkle…or Tinkle…or Twilight…(whatever that lame ass 16 year old girl popular vamp series is!!) these blood suckers are just about as popular as Zombies. Don’t get me wrong, there are uber vamp movies out there that I consider bright spots (Blade, Near Dark, and Fright Night). But let’s loose these sad Goth night lovers and I hope I see a new revival of the classic Werewolf! Early 2010 looks to be bringing these furry cursed friends to the big screen in a new and classic way.
2012…Stripped of its “Essentials”?
One part I really enjoy when I go to the movies are the trailers…who doesn’t love to see what next on the agenda! And typically, they pick trailers that fit the style of movie you are seeing…even better! So when I went to see Zombieland, one trailer that stuck out was the one for 2012. My thoughts right afterward…”wow, when did they decide to make The Day After Tomorrow 2?”, and then “why would they ever make The Day After Tomorrow2?” Alright, all kidding aside, the trailer is laughable, but in the world of special effects, it is beautiful and amazing. But then my mind wandered…what if we lived in a world that did not have special effects, and we had to rely on props and acting alone? Just remember, you were warned!
A Star Wars Collage! Looks worth Watching
So what to do with the Star Wars universe when it seems like it has all been done before? Why not invite the loyal fans to A New Hope…15 seconds at a time! Star Wars Uncut is cutting out to be one of those odd concepts that could produce a very interesting result!
Mega vs. Giant vs. me Arse! WTF?
Just when you think the world has see ever large animal/beast film in CG, someone still has to push the limit and make one more. Seriously, who is watching this crap? Oh wait…the Syfy channel needs another new movie of their Saturday night line up, that’s who. Come on, didn’t we learn anything from Anacondas and Pythons, and let’s not forget Anaconda vs. Pythons!

Peter Jackson Finally Returns….
The new trailer for peter Jackson’s first movie since King Kong has finally been released. Based on the best selling book by Alice Sebold, “The Lovely Bones” follows the story of a young girl who has been murdered as she watches over her family and her killer from heaven. I have never read the book but the movie trailer looks interesting. Reminding me perhaps a bit of his work on “Heavenly Creatures”. It’s not exactly what I would have prefered to be his next work but I will most definately give it a watch. Oh yeah it looks like Mark Wahlberg is in this one too starring as the same character he was from M. Night Shyamalan’s snoozer “The Happening”. Great….
