The Greatest KILLER Scarecrow Flick of ALL Time!!

I have to give some major props to the BEST imo EVIL killer scarecrow film of all time, NIGHT OF THE SCARECROW (1995)! This ambitious supernatural slasher really goes the gory distance with its ridiculous characters, top notch special fx & super well done gore. I also have to talk about SCARECROWS (1988) which is also one of the best of the genre, even though some people find it underwhelming and dull-I think it’s a total banger What do you think is the best killer scarecrow flick? Let me know!

FUTURE WAR(1997): Jean Claude Van Damme vs. Dinosaur Terminators?!

Today we talk about the “treasures” of the Goodwill Bins: that being ‘FUTURE WAR’ from 1997 a movie so stupid and genius at the same time it must be studied by cinema scholars for years to come. Jean Claude Van Damme rip off, Daniel Berhardt, kicks major Dinosaur booty and goes toe to toe against Robert Z’dar’s T-100 low rent version of “The Terminator” in this gloriously idiotic trashsterpiece. If you enjoy stuff like Tammy and the T-Rex AND the Carnosaur franchise you’ll likely get major kicks out of this crazy little film that needs a blu ray immediately!!

‘976-EVIL 2: The Astral Factor’ is a 90’s Out of Body SLASHER Experience!

Today we talk about the Jim “CHOPPING MALL” Wynorski helmed sequel 976-EVIL 2: THE ASTRAL FACTOR and why it’s even better than the original! The Out of Body Experience has never been so damn cheezy and EVIL! Also we get woo woo and discuss Astral Projection, OBE’s and Lucid Dreaming in the real world. A deep dive episode for those who’re looking to embark on the ultimate journey into the UNKNOWN!

Trapped on VHS: THE KISS (1988) is Sizzling “Sensual” Terror in the ‘BURBS!

Today we’re talkin’ forgotten surburban horror straight from the 1980s, in particular THE KISS from 1988! This cool little Canadian horror film just doesn’t get enough respect and it’s got a lot going for it. Starring the iconic Meredith Salenger as a grieving teen who’s got to protect her family and neighborhood from her evil demonic Aunt Felice – who’s hellbent on seducing her dad, murdering her friends and passing down an ancient curse! As an 80s kid this one was a real treat to have on VHS! That being said I’ve got my fingers crossed this one will soon get the respect it deserves from cult horror fans by way of fancy new blu!

Terror in the Outback: ‘FORTRESS’ is 1980s Ozploitation Perfection!

Today we cover one the coolest 1980s Aussie films around that deserves WAY more praise here in the the USA! Yeah- the relatively forgotten genre mash up, FORTRESS from 1985, hits ALL the right beats and features the beautiful Rachel Ward in one of the her finest roles. Part action, part adventure, part kids in danger “Amblin” style & part horror film, this one’s filled with twists and turns & features one of my favorite shocker endings of 1980s cult cinema! Trapped on VHS and just waiting to be cleaned up for fancy ass blu ray-we’re going to the “land down under” to talk about it all today!

Hong Hong’s Most Outrageous 90s Kung Fu Horror Sex Comedy?!

The most bizarre genre mash up of all time comes straight out of Hong Kong where we see Lam Ching Ying AKA “Mr. Vampire” embark on one of his wildest adventures of his whole damn career as an ass kicking ghostbuster! The Wizard’s Curse from 1992 is a film that you will blow your undies right off your heiny and get you in the mood for love and supernatural martial arts mayhem! One of my favorite Hong Kong horror comedies of all time gets sexy and needs a blu ray badly!! Check this bonkers highly under-seen gem out!!

Vinegar Syndrome Blu Review: ‘THE SEVENTH CURSE’ One of the Craziest 80’s Horror Films!

Today we take look at the latest awesome Vinegar Syndrome double feature Hong Kong horror blu ray of THE SEVENTH CURSE & WITCH FROM NEPAL! One of the craziest horror flicks of all time from the director of RIKI-OH: THE STORY OF RICKY. More insane than EVIL DEAD II and as gory and gross as Peter Jacksons ‘DEAD ALIVE”. But that’s just for starters we also cover some upcoming and classic Hong Kong horrors that are soon to be released on blu ray here in the US. So let’s get into the best era of horror from the far east straight out of the 1980s!

The BEST Craziest Episode of the 1980’s Twilight Zone: WILLIAM FRIEDKIN style!!

Today we’re talking’ some 1980s TV and we’re covering the scariest, craziest episode of the 1980s Twilight Zone directed by William “The Exorcist” Friedkin! This 80s incarnation of the the iconic anthology series just does NOT get enough love, in fact so many people seem to have forgotten it all together. Well we’ll discuss how it all came together after the highly controversial, tragic but iconic 1983 film and just how some of these installments of the 1980s series could’ve been used for a sequel film! Check it out!

The Director of The HITCHER (1986) Returned to the Road Horror Genre in the 2000s with HIGHWAYMEN!!

Today I tackle the largely forgotten 2004 road rage horror of HIGHWAYMEN! In the 2000’s Robert Harmon, director of THE HITCHER (1986) returned to the horror genre to deliver more of his signature “road terror” with this largely forgotten film that I feel deserves to be talked about a LOT more. Features Jim “Jesus” Caviezal and Rhona Mitra in a fight against a psychotic serial killer who stalks random people using his old beat up demonic looking car as his murder weapon. The most URGENT car chases ensue in a tale of road revenge delivered by the master of the genre himself!

Before PHANTASM There Was KENNY & COMPANY!

Are YOU a fan of PHANTASM? How about The GOONIES?! Well if so you’ve just gotta check out Don Coscarelli’s coming of age forgotten treasure KENNY & COMPANY from 1976! Today I cover this unique little gem from simpler times filled with adventure and razor sharp comedy that essentially features the entire cast of PHANTASM. Yes this sweet under seen 70s cult classic was also the inspiration to Coscarelli to craft his iconic horror franchise. Check this out if you’re looking for something truly authentic from times when kids and adult alike had thicker skin and a much bigger sense of humor!
