“REC 2” can you handle it?!
I am not sure how It is that I just found out about the sequel to the amazing spanish movie REC but all I can really say is I’m more than ready to continue the journey!! REC was the far superior original of the later well made US version “Quarantine”. It seems the original directors Jaume Balaguero and Paco Plaza are back for the sequel which is great news.
It’s been some time since a film has made me squirm, scream out loud and make my heart race. REC however delivered the goods right to your doorstep and then kicks your ass while you’re trying to pick them up! What I have heard so far about the sequel is that it’s just as good as the first. I’m not sure when the release date is for this movie in the US yet but I do know it’s supposed to be released in Spain in early October. Let’s hope this at least gets a limited release in the US. This time around I’ll see the original before I check out the sure to be remade version, Quarantine 2.

Excellent, can’t wait. Completely agree on REC. But looking at the poster, this is actually REC squared! So in reality, we can expect more that just a sequel, or continuation of the story…we can expect the thrills, chills, and gore to multiplied by itself making a movie that will kill instantly on viewing! Only if we view the movie in “square root vision”, with special glasses, can we calm the horror to survivable level. Can’t wait!
