The Good The Bad The Weird the Awesome!

Well this here isn’t breaking news or anything but I just wanted to mention that I finally checked out the amazing Korean flick, The Good The Bad The Weird last night. I have to say I wish I would have seen this amazing movie sooner-but you know this dork here can’t be dorkin’out 24/7! I WISH!!

Anyway it’s definitely one of the best action movies I have ever seen hands down-like a Korean take on Indiana Jones perhaps. Jam packed with colorful quirky characters, absolutely stunning action sequences and a nice touch of comedy to boot! This movie delivers on all levels and is surely one of the BEST movies a dork could have seen that was released on dvd in 2010! Don’t wait any longer if you missed this one-check it out already!

Busey Teaches Us About Being a Man…

I watched the awesome 90’s action flick “Surviving the Game” again recently and decided that everyone needed a little lesson in life from none other than our favorite Gary Busey. Listen and learn a little something about being a man as he flips out in this clip and schools Ice-T on the topic of manhood! This is classic…

Step Aside Rambo Here Comes Buck Matthews!!!

I just recently acquired a copy of the 80’s action flick “Eye of the Tiger” starring our main overacting king of cinema Gary Busy!! I must say it seems that back in 1986 they were looking for the new Stallone and someone apparently thought that guy was Gary Busey. Good that they did cuz Busey is turbo charged in this action flick as an ex-Vietnam has is hard vet whose wife and kid gets killed by a crazed group of bikers hell bent on complete mayhem where ever they go.

Yes that means when they’re pissed at you they are going to ride their motorcyles straight into your house through the windows! Hell they even smash through solid walls on their bikes! Well to make a long story short just track this down yourself to see Busey as ultra bad ass Buck Matthews as he takes care of some serious business in a way only he can…did I mention that Eye of the Tiger is actually the movie’s theme song? How can you go wrong?!

Arnold Appears In The Expendables Trailer!

Ok so it really no mystery now that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis are appearing in The Expendables movie. It’s so much NOT a mystery that they both actually appear in the new trailer for the movie released today. I must say I have been excited for this movie now for a while since it’s been billed as an obvious throwback to the action movies of the 80’s. Think Cobra, Commando, Deathwish, Raw Deal and Die Hard. Back in a time where there was no CG, when there were real planes flying on the screen, real explosions and not a bunch of rubbery looking CG  characters on the screen doing back flips and cartwheels as seen in the ultra lame G.I. Joe movie and countless other loads of steaming shit. This is an actual great accomplishment from Sly whether you love the guy or hate him, he seems to know what’s been missing in action movies today. C’mon did you see the last Rambo movie? It was raw and realistic (ok so maybe not that realistic) but you get the idea. Sure Sly looks like he’s had some plastic surgery, been dying his hair and been pumped up on weird ass growth hormones but still the guys is bringing back what has been missing from the modern action movie: unrealistic realism! check it for yourself right here and remember he brought back Dolph Lungren to the big screen and tried to court an unwilling Van Damme to appear in this flick-how cool is that? The Expendables is gonna bring it all back-old school style!

Ok well not too sure about the “Nickleback” sounding song in the trailer but hopefully this will live up to the hype…

MARILYN MANSON LANDS A PLANE; Or, TURBULENCE 3—HEAVY METAL

Prequels, like good taste, are often not required for viewing sequels. DEATH WISH 3? Perfect example. Relishing in Bronson’s unhinged scum-stomping rampages requires no getting-to-know-ya handshake. TURBULENCE 3-HEAVY METAL also requires no teaser. Just, maybe a chaser?

The premise is pure support for the subtitle pun “heavy metal”. Self-proclaimed antichrist rock star Slade Craven has decided to film his final concert en route a pastel-upholstered, pretzel-lobbing airplane (which transcends any definition of metal that I can think of). But not all is rosy in hell. Rutger (BLADE RUNNER) Hauer, with a notably larger face, plays a devil worshipping pilot and believes Slade Craven is the “fake messiah”. He and globby-eyed VJ (top model Monika Schnarre) think Craven’s party should be crashed into a church in Oklahoma. This opens the seventh gateway to hell, unleashing the true satan.

(OK, I’ve seen THE BEYOND and thought this hellgate was in Louisiana?!) Continue reading

Do you ever get sick of watching It’s a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Carol or being forced into watching The Polar Express? Well never again! It’s the season alright and I’m gonna give you some recommendations of  cool movies you might not know or have forgotten were christmas movies! We will start off with a few that should be easy to sneak into the mix and then get into some that maybe a bit of a more difficult sell. This year the relatives can watch some of these instead!

One of my favs is definately Gremlins! Yeah this is totally a christmas movie and one I never get sick of watching. This will be a pretty easy sell for the whole family since pretty much everyone loves this movie. It’s just that alot of people foget it is indeed a christmas flick! Continue reading

AVP…NO! AVN…Alien versus Ninja! Yeah!

Normally I would just laugh off a movie concept like this…kind of like Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus. But much the same reason I endured Mega Shark, I am just curious to see what a film makers vision for aliens and ninja is going to be like. To date, the details are few, so I am sure that it will be sometime till we see the final product. But I am sure once this goes direct to video in the US, I will have it on my Netflix queue!
