• Check out this rare vintage clip of Steve Martin as he impersonates Michael Jackson in Billie Jean on “The New Show” which was a short lived spin off of Saturday Night Live. Classic!!

  • The holidays are still raging on and next up is the ever festive New Years! Big plans this year? Well if you’re choosing to chill at home with some friends and a bunch of booze this New Years you may wanna get out there and rent some movies! That’s why I’m giving you a list of a few movies that take place on New Years to entice your audience with. Good thing about these flicks are that each one gets more enjoyable with some liquor! You’d think there’d be alot more New Years themed movies out there worth watching but the truth is the pickins are a bit on the slim side for some reason. So without any further ramblings let’s get the celebration started!

First up is New Years Evil. (more…)

  • While everyone is still in the holiday spirit I thought it’d be cool to show the appearance of the first “Killer on screen Santa” for anyone who thought Silent Night Deadly Night was the first time. He actually appears in the original 1972 Tales from the Crypt episode “And all Through the House” which they later remade. Enjoy this little segment where a goldiggin’ Joan Collins is tormented by the first killer Claus! Next I want to compile some good New Years themed movies so stay tuned!!

  • Happy Holidays everyone! We hope everyone is enjoying life today, relaxing and preparing for an incredible new year! It’s a good time to figure out what’s really important in life. Take for instance this chap below. It seemed he had his priorities pretty damn straight!

  • A couple days ago I did a blog about The Krampus, a feirce Christmas demon of Austrian folklore who terrorizes naughty children around the holidays and was good buds with Santa. Now you better believe there’s more Christmas creeps than just the Krampus from folklore. So let’s see who else joins the ranks of “good” ol’ Saint Nick’s bad boy buddies. Here’s a few more legendary x-mas party poopers to brighten the holidays for all the naughty kids of the world!

First up is Knecht Ruprecht (pictured above), (more…)

  • Here it is the new trailer to the remake of the Karate Kid, a movie that I refuse to see! Wasn’t The Next Karate Kid with Hilary Swank bad enough? Now we have a remake of probably one of my top 5 favorite movies of all time. Not to mention one of the best 80’s movies ever. Luckily they changed the names of the main characters. I would blow my top if Jaden Smith was Daniel Laruso and Jackie Chan was Mr. Miagi!!

From the preview it appears to follow a very similar story as the original. (more…)

  • Alright, I will admit it, I buy weird shit sometimes. Who doesn’t? You just see something on TV and it clicks with you. Like it is the long lost piece of your life and it will solve a good percentage of the problems that ale you. In fact, at times I pride myself in being the head of research and development for some of the crazy stuff out there. For example…the finger mouse, to replace your mouse on your computer, well that was not exactly a breakthrough product. So imagine my surprise when I came across this dandy…yeah, OSIM uCrown 2 Soothing Head Massager with Music.

  • Usually when we think of Christmas we don’t think of demonic creatures scaring little kids! But let’s not forget about the Krampus, a mythical creature who apparently is buddies with good ol’ Saint Nick.

His legend originates in Austria, Check out this info on the legend of this this dark Christmas creeper: (more…)

  • Check out this ultra old school russian stop motion animation christmas short from 1913 from the Khanzhonkov Company. This makes me wonder if this started the whole Rankin Bass slew of christmas specials in some way since this has got to be one of the first ever. It also has some pretty weird imagery in it as well. Santa, dancing frogs, skiing insects make this almost dreamlike short quite bizzare! It is very remnisent of something perhaps that the Brothers Quay would have made. It’s actually pretty amazing considering the year it was made…

  • I just read some fantastic news, It seems Bryan Singer WILL be returning to the X-men movie franchise! I just read an article on Cinematical.com that Singer is planning on directing X-men “Origins: First Class” which will follow the early days of original movie X-men, Cyclops, Beast, Storm and Jean Grey. I think this is an excellent idea though part of me wishes he would have jumped on board for the next Wolverine movie which I’m sure now will be another major dud.

I guess then this would be a whole new casting call for the younger versions of the X-men. (more…)
