• All I can say is wow! Everybody’s favorite red headed nazi love to hate villain is finally revealed for the upcoming Cap movie! I have to say Hugo Weaving looks fantastic as the Red Skull!

It looks like they finally got the look down perfectly-as you  may or may not remember the shitty sweaty red burn victim style look that Scott Paulin as the Red Skull back in 1990 but it was bad! I mean if you are going to call someone the Red Skull at least make sure their damn head looks like a skull right? Check it out!

Now I am hoping for Bucky pics too-as in Bucky in costume that is! Also I haven’t heard much about The Invaders since there was rumor that they were to be appearing in the movie-I hope they are indeed still on board! So far this one could shape up to be the best Marvel flick yet!!

  • Hey check out this cool new trailer for Attack the Block! It looks like a lot of fun and hey it’s got Nick Frost in it and is from the producers of Shaun of the Dead & Scott Pilgrim! Here’s the Synopsis and the brand new trailer!! check it out…

“Attack The Block is a fast, funny, frightening action adventure movie that pits a teen gang against an invasion of savage alien monsters. It turns a housing estate into a SCI-FI PLAYGROUND. A tower block into a fortress under siege. And weapon wielding teenage thugs into heroes. Think ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13 only with monsters and a tower block. Or LA HAINE crossed with ALIENS. It’s inner city versus outer space.”

  • I have never read the comic books so I’ve not much to go by here-But call me crazy-I’m pumped for this movie!! Too bad Brandon couldn’t play Supes again but at least we get this new comic adaptation-Now all I need to do is find the comics and see what this is really all about!!

So can anyone out there tell me if this looks good next to the comic book?

  • So the news is out M. Night Shyamalan has won multiple awards this year at the Razzies. The M. Night action-flick, which was razzed on by critics upon its release last year, won for Worst Director, Worst Picture, Worst Screenplay, Worst Supporting Actor and a brand new category — Worst Eye-gouging Misuse of 3-D. Wow harsh huh? There was a time when Night was considered a genius.

I have to say personally The Last Airbender was pretty mediocre-and I honestly never even got around to even finishing watching the movie. But worst movie of 2010?? No way. Yeah it did indeed suck in a hard way-but I’d say it was leaps and bounds better than anything Adam Sandler put out last year!

So what gives with Night now days? Is he really THAT bad? (more…)

  • Remember when The X-Men were really bad ass? Back in the 80’s they sure seemed that way-with Storm sporting her mohawk and Wolverine tokin’ on a cig reciting Clint Eastwood lines on their beautifully drawn John Romita Jr. covers. Man those were the days I tell ya! This amazing cover is taken from the “Mutant Massacre” storyline that ripped out the souls of their readers back in the 80’s. The same storyline that took Angel’s wings away from him and introduced Sabretooth as one of the most frightening villains the X-men and Wolverine would then continually face off with. Anyway John Romita Jr. was putting out some of his best artwork ever back then and this cover is a reason why to this day he’s still in the lime light as one of the best in the industry!

  • I finally got to see the latest Joe Dante movie last night! Needless to say “The Hole” was everything I was hoping for it to be and more! The only problem is that this great little movie hasn’t been released here in the USA yet-so I found a copy of it on Ebay, and import copy to be more precise. It has been released abroad in 3-D in theaters but has yet to hit the states-and I have been wondering if it will indeed ever make it to theaters?

Well I will tell you this much-it’s exactly what you want out of a Joe Dante flick-just a lot of great fun! A horror movie that’s a throw back to old classics like Gremlins, Poltergeist and The Gate! (more…)

  • Yeah well that ain’t all Ihave to say about classics getting a sequel instead of a reboot-On a lower budget scale how about The Gate 3 with Stephen Dorff and Louis Tripp? Damn get these guys back together-and I don’t give a shit if it’s direct to dvd-it’d totally rule to get the Gate opened again. Perhaps Tripp’s character Terry could be a in a unsuccessful/successful metal band? Dorff could be a whiny bitch like he was in the amazing first film! I personally would LOVE to see this happen but it’s really wishful thinking…and yeah that’s the whiny little kid now from the Gate below-not sure why he’s clutching his crotch like that with a towel-I bet if you added Louis Tripp to this picture though he’d be covering up pretty quickly!

How about the Monster Squad 2? Come on! That’d be awesome! There could be a whole new group of kids with some new monsters! Or the adult team could be formed again by original star Andrew Gower facing a whole new group of Monsters??!! (more…)

  • I am so SICK of bad remakes of movies that I grew up loving! It is though now kinda fun to see just how low they will go and what they’ll try and remake next. It seems though perhaps Hollywood is finally catching on now that most of these remakes are box office bombs! They maybe seeing that the real interest still lays within sequels to our beloved movies! We’ve already gotten a few, love em’ or hate em’ you gotta admit they were fun to wonder & wait for!

Let’s see, we’ve already gotten recent sequels to Rocky, Rambo (Great job on both Stallone!), Indiana Jones, Terminator(more or less though they should have gotten Edward Furlong or Nick Stahl in the lead) The Lost Boys (Hey I kinda liked the third one!) & Tron. We all know these movies are best served with their original directors too! Now there’s news today on a new sequel for Poltergeist with the surviving actors reprising their roles! How cool would that be?! Well it got me thinkin’…what are the top 10 movies that deserve a sequel? Well look no further this is my wish list! (more…)

  • Well it was my birthday recently and I decided it was time to add some new gems to my dvd collection! So these here movies are recommendations for every dork’s collection! So let’s not waste any time here, these are what I scored! All of these are available on dvd-though you may have to do a little searching around…

First up is Neon Maniacs-I will tell you right off the bat this movie is BAD! But bad in a very good way! As you can tell from the trailer this one has got all the goods for a terribly bad good 80’s horror flick!

Next I got Return to Oz (more…)

  • Incredible Hulk #314 not only is one of my favorite comic book covers but it was also the start of one of my favorite Hulk runs by John Byrne. Nobody draws the Hulk as epic as Byrne. Plus adding in some of his best bad guys (yeah I LOVE Modok) is even better. You can check out this run in the Marvel’s Hulk Visonaries Trade Paperback and read Byrne’s all too short run on the book jam packed as well with lots of Doc Samson-they just don’t make ’em like this anymore!!
