The Most Unsuccessful Blog on the 'Net Since 2009!

  • Just when you think the world has see ever large animal/beast film in CG, someone still has to push the limit and make one more. Seriously, who is watching this crap? Oh wait…the Syfy channel needs another new movie of their Saturday night line up, that’s who. Come on, didn’t we learn anything from Anacondas and Pythons, and let’s not forget Anaconda vs. Pythons!

  • One thing that I love are vintage toys and their commercials! Another thing I love beyond belief is The Incredible Hulk! So check out this “radio controlled” version of the jade giant. Sounds pretty amazing huh? Controlling the Hulk’s every move?! Wrecking havok on all that stand in his way? Well not quite, it was 1980 so you had to take what you could get. How about a blow up doll Hulk attached to  a radio contolled stand? Well I certainly thought it was the shit!  So what if the rest of his body didn’t move and he moved more slowly than a wasted tortoise! Check this out and see what all the rage was if you were a kid in 1980!

  • I am totally thrilled beyond belief that Guillermo del Toro is doing The Hobbit, but that also means that there won’t be another Hellboy movie for years! The last Hellboy film was so damn good I was foaming at the mouth for a third movie. So what could they do in between while del Toro is running around middle earth with Frodo?! How about a B.P.R.D. movie already?! In case you live in a cave B.P.R.D. stands for Bureau Of Paranormal Research and Defense. It’s the group that Hellboy and good Ol’ Abe Sapien work for. It’s the group that saves humanity from monsters, ghosts, demons and aliens.  It’s also a super rad comic book. And Guess what? It doesn’t feature Hellboy as the main character. Hint, Hint….

  •                                                So does anyone have a pair of these in my size?

    hulk shoes

These are pretty amazing huh? I found this pic on http://www.incrediblehulkonline.com/hulkjewelry.html where you can check out a section called Hulk Fashion that literally made me drool. Some pretty amazing vintage Hulk stuff shown there!

Plus check out this commercial from 1980 for the Incredible Hulk shoes shown above! Yeah I know you’ve seen some recent Hulk shoes that were inspired by the movies and I must say they looked pretty terrible. I’d like to get my hands on a pair of 9 and 1/2 Hulk shoes. I wonder if they made them in adult sizes? May have to check ebay for that and a pair of Hulk Underoos!

  • David Cronenberg is still making great movies to this day. Many people know him mainly for A History of Violence, Eastern Promises or even his classic The Fly, which is just simply one of the best horror movies ever made. But let’s not forget about one of his most frightening films from the late 70’s. The Brood. There is always something completely eerie and off about his movies and this one thrives on both. In fact throughout nearly the whole movie you you’ll be trying to peice things together that clearly seem to make no sense and don’t fit.

  • Zombies are popular…right? So I decided to go on a hunt for some of the recent zombie releases and make a blog collecting them to inform our readers…quickly, I realized that zombies have gotten out of hand. This is my testament to the good, the bad, and the dead of the offerings over the last couple years (and upcoming). Oddly enough, I have not seen 75% of these. And since I could hardly sit through half of these trailers…I am sure the movies are much, much worse. If you can stomach it, here is a gut full of the putrid smorgasbord of undead flicks for your enjoyment.

This goes on forever, so if it takes you a couple days/weeks to make it through all of these trailers, I understand. Just please be thankful of the dedication of this dork to sit through all of them. Yeah, and I am sure I missed like 20 or so…

    Enjoy you undead loving sick-o’s!

  • I still am bummed that the Bubba Ho-tep prequel “Bubba Nosferatu” will not have Bruce Campbell returning as Elvis. To me it simply makes no sense at all. And what ever happened with Evil Dead 4? Raimi anounced a year ago it was going to happen. It seems if it concerns Bruce these days it’s always pretty up in the air. However Ron Perlman returning as Elvis is good enough for me I suppose.

It seems that that Bubba Nosferatu is finally getting off the ground and the good news is that horror legend Angus Scrimm will be starring as a Bela Lugosi type character who meets Elvis on the set of a vampire movie in Vegas. (more…)

  • This is not an in-depth review of District 9, this blogger is just not going to attempt on this one. Nor do I want to spoil any of the magic. But hear me now!

Go see District 9 immediately…if you love Sci-Fi, this is hands down one of the best Sci-Fi movie of the last decade.

Not since Enemy Mine has a movie had such an impact on me. The message of the movie is pretty simple to read from the trailer…but the execution is glorious.

Yes, there is CG, but it is damn near flawless.

In the age of remakes, prequels, sequels, re-imagining, or unearthing classics…this is a truly original work of art.

I can’t say enough about this movie. A 10 out of 10…no question.

  • It’s been a while since I’ve found any good Horror themed music videos but I am always on the watch for them. Especially if they are from a good 80’s movie! I realized the other day that I had totally forgotten about about the music video for Wes Craven’s 1989 horror classic “Shocker”. I had been searching Youtube for a while looking for the video for Alice Cooper’s “No More Mr. Nice Guy” and had no luck finding it. Then I realized that though Alice Cooper did the song originally that Megadeth actually performed the movie version. Anyway here the video is in all it’s Mustaine glory!

  • Alright, let’s just get this straight right now…there is metal, all different genres of metal in fact. You may prefer death, black, doom, speed, or maybe thrash. But when the genre of metal magic comes up, there are notable kings. But the clear dominant force of metal magic (in my humble dork opinion) is none other than the infamous Bal-Sagoth!
