  • George Romero’s “Survival of the Dead” Trailer released…

    The new trailer for George Romero’s new Zombie flick has just been released to the world today-the only question is does anyone really care anymore? I have to be honest the last couple Romero Dead flicks weren’t very good. Land of the Dead was a big let down and I really don’t know too many people who thought it was anything more than passable. Diary of the Dead? Well that one just plain sucked. It made really think that perhaps George was done with the Zombie Genre for good.

  • Vampire Hunting with Tim Burton & Abraham Lincoln!

    It appears that Tim Burton is getting ready to jump on the vampire bandwagon. It’s just been reproted that Burton and Timur Bekmambetov are developing an adaption of  Seth Grahame-Smith’s latest novel Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. The novel is the story of Abe Lincoln who over the years becomes an expert axe throwing vampire slayer after his mother is murdered by the undead. It has always been said that Lincoln was a good brawler and this book and now movie are gonna take that to the next level as he delivers some serious smackdown on any blood sucker that dares step in his path.

  • Let’s Get Ready To Rumble! The Greatest Cartoon Brawls Part 5!!

    Ok well I am not really sure if anyone really gives two shits about cartoon brawls but I’m keeping up this thread cuz I do! Hey when you’re bored you’ll search for just about anything on You Tube right? Well when you mention a cartoon fight there’s one character who definateley likes to get rowdy-Popeye! Popeye has kicked so much ass in his time it’s absolutely unbelievable! He’s been doing it for decades!

    Pratically ALL ol’ Pops does is kick ass every day of his life! He deals with alot of B.S. contantly from Brutus and constantly keeps giving him chances to prove himself to not be a total douche but ends up having to waste him literally almost every day of his damn life! So let’s take a quick look at a good video which compiles some good ass whoopings delivered by Mr. Eye himself!!

  • Luke Cage Leads The Avengers!

    Well it’s really not that big of a suprise that Luke Cage will be back in the ranks of the Avengers again now is it? It’s time it seems for a revamp on the Avengers titles once again by Mr. Bendis. Maybe this time we’ll get an amazing run with top notch writing and art  like “Disassembled” or the first New Avengers arc “Break Out” both which blew my mind! I am actually pretty excited about a relaunch here-to start fresh so to say. I missed out on alot of the Avengers business as when Secret Invasion kicked in I soon lost interest in the story line and title.

  • Let’s Get Ready To Rumble! The greatest Cartoon Brawls Part 4!

    Yeah it’s fighting time again here at Universal Dork! Today we have a great cartoon fight between Superman and Solomon Grundy! This One comes from the awesome Justice League cartoon. I always enjoyed them because they were always so well animated. It kinda gets me pumped about the possibiltiy of a Justice League movie! 

    It’s always nice to see good ol’ Supes brawling the bad guys at least the ones who can actually put up a fight-as you can see in this epic cartoon battle Solomon Grundy is no push over!

  • News by the M*thaf#ckin’ Juggalos!

    It’s friday and there’s really not too much to report on! Well wait now, that’s not entirely true as our best buddies the Juggalos, who if you must know are loyal fans to the Insane Clown Posse, have some serious news to report to you!  Check out these Faygo drinkin’ fanatics as they give you the most up to date, worldly information about what’s going on in the headline! It’s about time these critical thinkers finally get their own TV station!

  • The Battle for Captain America!!

    I read at Deadline Hollywood and Moviehole.net that Joe Johnston has finally got a list of potential contenders for the role of Captain America! First off let me say they are all relatively unknown which could be a good thing if you were a little weary of the option of Leonardo Dicaprio or Will Smith getting the role of Captain America. It seems they must simply be doing this for money costs since it has been stated that the lead will only be paid about $300,000 for this lead role. My thinking is they’ve already given Robert Downey Jr. too much damn money and they know it. 

    Either way it’s nice to finally know we’re getting closer to actually knowing who will wield the shield! I heard some more well known actors however would be cast as his teamates the Invaders in the movie. So here’s the list of seven contenders-I was nice enough to put their pictures up so we can all debate about who it should and shouldn’t be! Remember we’re looking for a wholesome, apple pie eating, small town, all american guy here..basically kind of a douchebag!

  • “The Room” exceeds the hype!

    I am sure many people out there have already witnessed “The Room” perhaps even several times but if not I’d go out this in your list of movies to see immediately! What is The Room? It’s the worst film ever made. At least that’s what it has been tagged as for quite sometime now. To me that’s a mighty strong claim as I have seen and enjoyed many  bad movies in my time.

     Even after hearing all the hype around it, reading articles in the local paper, interviews with Tommy Wiseau (the movies maker) and it recently playing in several different theaters here in PDX I still somehow figured I had already seen the worst of the worst in my time.I however was wrong.

  • Hair Loss in the 80’s is Awesome!

    I am not sure what made me thing of a few of these commercials from the 80’s but one thing I know is that they’re pretty damn amusing! Check this shit out for some of the ridiculous ways people tried to battle hair loss back then!

    If you have NEVER seen Fire & Ice you better run to the video store immediately or head to Netflix! This has got to be one of the coolest animated movies ever made! Created in the 80’s by Ralph Bakshi & the legendary Frank Frazetta this has got to be one of the greatest fantasy epics ever.

    Amazing animation, ultra violent and full of cool monsters this cartoon will blow your mind! (more…)
