Comic Cover of the Week: Rob Liefeld Gets it Right – Part 2!
So yesterday I did a post on Rob Liefeld, this time celebrating the times when he actually did a cool piece of artwork. I had a some people who challenged it and STILL claimed Rob’s work was filled with flaws. Well here’s “round 2” a more recent cover of Rob’s – a variant cover for Deadpool #13. I’m right now thinking this is cover is actually pretty good. In fact I almost didn’t believe he actually created it! I’ll admit yesterday’s Liefeld cover being one of his more solid pieces really wasn’t that incredibly impressive. So to all those out there that STILL think Rob can’t rise to the occasion and do some decent doodling what do you think of this?!

Alright, here goes:
Where is his chin? Is this a storyline where his jaw is off and he is still wearing his mask? How does hand hold sword? Thumb on one side, nah on the other! Sloth eyes. “Hey you guys!” Holmes is gonna blow his thumb off if he fires that gun. Does he think it is a revolver? Bent sword. I count 4 tampons. Wade is stuffing those biceps, he don’t need to, but he do. Papapapapapapa POUCHES! I know that is part of his original design, but my goodness… What is Deadpool doing? You and I both LOVE She-Hulk’s covers. What is this? Deadpool holding in a daring poopoo? Those swords are certainly not a pair. Who ever stands like that? I am serious, I have lived 34 years and have never stood like that. I love this so much. Let’s do this everyday forever.
Oh damn, well yeah you raise some good points here….I’ll be on the search soon for yet another example that Rob can do some good artwork then!!
