I am not sure what everyone else thinks about yet another remake of a true horror classic, A Nightmare on Elm Street, but I for one found it just a little bit more comforting when I read an article on Cinematical.com   with the new rumored Freddy Krueger. The word on the street is Jackie Earle Haley, The Watchmen’s own Rorshach will be donning the green and red sweater in the remake.

 I think this is good news since the first name involved with the role was Billy Bob Thornton. Haley was pretty amazing in the Watchmen and may have single handedly saved the movie altogether with his performance. Personally I think they should leave this franchise alone or at best get Robert Englund to reprise his role. I did recently however though Englund was not approached, he feels he’s far too old to be playing Freddy. It seems to me nobody would be able to tell under all that latex? Well in a day and age where it seems Hollywood has completely run out of original ideas, I guess if they are gonna take a stab at A Nightmare on Elm Street they may have just nailed the next Freddy Krueger afterall….
