hopefully “Kick-ass” the movie will kick ass!!

I knew it wouldn’t be long before Kick-Ass, Marvel’s Icon Imprint Line comic book sensation was made into a movie. Kick-Ass is easily one the BEST comic books to have graced our shelves in the past five years and coming from Ultimates writer Mark Millar I would expect nothing less. Even though this comic seems to have a real hard time coming out on time and takes about five minutes to read it’s always worth the wait. If you haven’t checked this out already you need to get your booty down to the comic shop and pick up the first five issues. I promise you WON’T be disappointed.

It’s essentially a comic book set in a world where nobody has super powers and there are no superheroes. Well, no superheroes until high school student Dave Lizewski decides to be the first that is! What ensues is probably one of the coolest story lines you’ll ever read. If you have ever wondered what it would really be like to try and become a real life, ass kickin’, costumed vigilante (and really mean it-unlike the real life superheroes I wrote about on this blog) then you should check this out. Anyway the movie is already in post-production and even though it has Nicholas Cage in it as well I must say I am pretty pumped to see this one if it follows the comic book closely. Did I mention it co-stars Christopher Mintz Plasse (Superbad’s McLovin) as the teenage crimefighter, The Red Mist ? It’s gonna be fun. Here are a few stills I found from the movie…
