• So here’s another little reminder that there are some seriously shitty villains out there in the comic book universe! Every now and then we need to give a little shout out to these guys in hopes that just maybe we’ll see their pathetic hides grace the pages of our current comic book titles. I mean who wouldn’t want to see a villain like Gaard appear in a current issue of the Fantastic Four or the Avengers?? What? You don’t know who Gaard is?? Have you been living in an icy cave with Spock for the 35 years?

Gaard is perhaps the most crap-tastic villain to ever grace the pages of Marvel comics!! He appeared in Fantastic Four #163 in 1975 and boy does he suck!  (more…)

  • I just recently acquired a copy of the 80’s action flick “Eye of the Tiger” starring our main overacting king of cinema Gary Busy!! I must say it seems that back in 1986 they were looking for the new Stallone and someone apparently thought that guy was Gary Busey. Good that they did cuz Busey is turbo charged in this action flick as an ex-Vietnam has is hard vet whose wife and kid gets killed by a crazed group of bikers hell bent on complete mayhem where ever they go.

Yes that means when they’re pissed at you they are going to ride their motorcyles straight into your house through the windows! Hell they even smash through solid walls on their bikes! Well to make a long story short just track this down yourself to see Busey as ultra bad ass Buck Matthews as he takes care of some serious business in a way only he can…did I mention that Eye of the Tiger is actually the movie’s theme song? How can you go wrong?!

  • Ok last night was totally fucking epic! I finally saw Iron Maiden live in Auburn Washington and  must say it was one of the greatest, if not the BEST live show I have ever seen! We were in the pit and managed to get about 15 feet away from them. It has been a long damn time since I have seen a band with as much energy as Maiden. These guys are in their Fifties and have 10 times the energy than most bands out there half their age. I was truely blown away to see a band have so much fun on stage  performing every song with a smile and sounding damn near perfect.

So a few highlights of the show were (more…)

  • Well my time HAS come! There’s not too much for me tosay today as I am preparing myself for the Iron Maiden concert tonight! In a few minutes I will be hitting the road and headed to metal heaven to see the best metal band of all time perhaps on their last tour ever!!

It’s gonna be an epic night of fucking rock and hopefully Maiden gives it their all. It seems from most of the footage I’ve seen that these guys have actually gotten better with age-anyway I will leave you with The Wicker Man one of their best songs and from what I hear the track they open with!!

  • Ok all of my doubts are officially gone about the upcoming television adaptation of The Walking Dead. I just recently saw some of the stills taken for this epic series and it literally blew my mind!! I checked them out at Bloody Disgusting and thought I really needed to put a few of them up here in case anyone had any doubts on just how cool this show is shaping up to be. First off the this image here of Rick Grimes walking on the highway practically gave me the chills upon first sight. Andrew Lincoln who’s playing Rick looks fantastic-don’t you think??

This makes me kinda wonder exactly how this tv series is going to start off. Will they choose to use the 28 Days Later Beginning?? I am crossing my fingers that the answer is no. I think that opening could turn alot of people off from the tv show-to be honest the first time I read the Walking Dead, at least issue one, I simply passed it off as some cheap Image rip-off comic that was cranked out to jump on the zombie bandwagon. Well shortly thereafter I was encouraged to read the whole first trade while at the comic shop. The clerk even promised me that if I gave it another shot and still didn’t like it I could bring the trade back for a full refund. I read the first six isssues and was hooked ever since.

Anyway there are some amazing pictures here as well they posted of the the actual zombies appearing on the show (more…)

  • So yesterday the new Devo album was released and it’s pretty rad. Their first album in 20 years, “Something For Everybody” sounds like they picked up exactly where they left off in the 80’s!

If you still aren’t convinced check out these vids and I’m sure you’ll be picking up the album immediately. Devo has always been a dork’s dream band and they continue to be in 2010!

  • So here’s alittle good news for X-men fans, it seems that Robert Rodriguez, according to The Playlist is being considered to possibly direct the Deadpool spin off! Too bad we couldn’t have gotten him to direct the next Wolverine movie!!

I’ll say at first I was extremely pesimistic about the Deadpool movie, for the simple fact that it was a spin off of the steaming goliath of terd Wolverine solo film we were all subjected to endure. I had a feeling when the spin off was announced that it’d be even a bigger disappointment. (more…)

  • I know that this short film “Peter and The Wolf” is a couple years old and apparently won the academy award but it’s all news to me! I just recently saw the trailer for this amazing stop motion film and was blown away so much by it that I instantly found the dvd which was recently released on ebay and well today it has just arrived in the mail! So I figured I’d post a couple clips up here so that if you hadn’t already seen it and are a stop motion fan you’d be pleasantly delighted. Anyway here are a  a couple scenes from this amazing little masterpeice….

  • Ok well this speaks for itself -A brand new Iron Maiden song has just been unveiled from their supposed last album ever “The Final Frontier”. Check this shit out oh yeah and the Iron Maiden comic book image blows my mind.

  • Hell yeah! The news on the street is that Frank Darbont is offically finally filming the first 6 epsiodes of The Walking Dead as I type this! The best comic book series out there is, I guarantee it, going to become the best tv series ever. They couldn’t have found a better director either as Darabont knows how to give the tension the tv series will need to become a masterpiece. The Mist is good proof of what he can do, I mean quite honestly the cgi used in that film was pretty damn pathetic yet the acting and direction was so well done it made me forget how fake everything looked.

I also read on at Bloody Disgusting that Darabont is basing alot of the zombie action on the original Night of the Living Dead. (more…)
