Let’s not forget what Sabretooth looks like….

I know all I really do is just bitch about comic book movies! Yeah I am never quite satisfied with the decisions people make for the movie versions of my favorite comic books. I loved The Dark Knight movie this last year and Loved Heath Ledger in it. But I still don’t see him as the Joker I have known to love my entire life. Well I know everyone has seen the previews for the new “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” and you know what? It looks pretty damn rad! I will probably totally love this movie but one thing I know I don’t love is the way Leiv Schrieber looks as his iconic arch nemesis “Sabretooth”.

I may end up thinking he plays the character well but he just will not register in my head as the Sabretooth I love to hate so much. I guess that Tyler Mane was a pretty shitty Sabretooth, especially when he growled like a lion all the time (really they used a lion roaring for his growls). It really makes me wonder who is making these decisions of casting and make up. Really, how hard is it to at the very least give Sabretooth blonde hair?!! This is a multi-million dollar flick here! What did they run out of blonde wigs on the set and just say screw it? Anyway I will give ol’ Leiv a chance but in the meantime here are a couple pics to make a comparison. Maybe i am just being a bitch? He probably in actuality looks a helluva lot like Mr. Creed and i’m just being a baby about Hollywood movie adaptations. I guess i have to be pretty happy at least that they didn’t decide to make Sabretooth a CG character right? Here’s a pic of Sabretooth from the comics..

    I have to say man if you want him to look like sabertooth exactly he would have to be CG. That out fit on someone would not translate well to the big screen.

    i don’t need him to look like sabretooth exactly but maybe just a little bit? I’m not sure if Leiv is looking to psychotic with those lil’ sharp fingernails of his. i think next to hugh jackman as wolvie he’s a pretty weak looking sabretooth which is a shame…

    Hmm dont like ole hugh as wolvie neither? Ive always considerd him to be a great wolverine, but back to sabertooth! He does need longer claws ill give ya that! But at least we have a wayyy better actor then that james hetfield look a like!

    No way i LOVE Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. the first time i saw him as wolverine on screen i got the chills!! i was just really hoping for a truely menacing sabretooth this time around. I think he can pull it off. but i wish they would have made him more like the comic version-blonde hair, monsterous and scary someone who you think could actually scare wolverine. we’ll see though-what do you think about deadpool with no costume at all?
