I just saw the new pics from the Iron Man movie that were just released but there was only one that was of any real excitement. We’ve all seen pics of Downey Jr. as Tony Stark and Mickey Rourke as Whiplash so naturally it was pretty cool to see Scarlett Johansson as The Black Widow. It looks like they got her classic look right which I guess isn’t too hard since she just has to have some guns, red hair and leather body suit. But still you never know with Hollywood these days-I mean they couldn’t even get Wolverine’s claws to look right in the last movie! Check this out…

I looks like War Machine will be in the new Iron man sequel. I guess Terrence Howard really does have something to be upset about! It seems Don Cheadle got lucky as the Iron Man 2 poster which was just unveiled today at Yahoo Movies shows Iron Man and War Machine back to back. Personally I get pretty annoyed when sequels arrive with new actors replacing others from the previous movies. Since Terrence Howard will always hold a special place in my heart for his perfromance in Hustle & Flow, one of the best movies ever, I am still a bit annoyed he was replaced. Either way we’ll see how Iron Man 2 turns out so far it’s looking like a pretty decent follow up to a movie that I had originally had pretty low expectations for. Lets hope Iron Man 2 lives up to all the hype…

As you may already know I am huge Incredible Hulk fan yet It has been at least a year since I have followed the comic book. I will admit I was hooked on Planet Hulk & World War Hulk. Infact I must admit those were some of the best Hulk stories I’ve read in years. Then what happens to my Hulk title that Greg Pack had so magnificently written? Well for some reason the title tuned into The Incredible Hercules and we start following the exploits of Hercules instead of the Hulk. Um ok…then a new title simply called Hulk emerges written by Jeph Loeb. Well I have to be honest about Mr. Loeb, he’s pretty hit or miss. Usually a miss in my opinion. I read maybe the first two issues of this title and was less than impressed. In fact so unimpressed I never picked up an issue again.

One thing that I love are vintage toys and their commercials! Another thing I love beyond belief is The Incredible Hulk! So check out this ”radio controlled” version of the jade giant. Sounds pretty amazing huh? Controlling the Hulk’s every move?! Wrecking havok on all that stand in his way? Well not quite, it was 1980 so you had to take what you could get. How about a blow up doll Hulk attached to a radio contolled stand? Well I certainly thought it was the shit! So what if the rest of his body didn’t move and he moved more slowly than a wasted tortoise! Check this out and see what all the rage was if you were a kid in 1980!

Anyone have a pair of these in my size?

These are pretty amazing huh? I found this pic on http://www.incrediblehulkonline.com/hulkjewelry.html where you can check out a section called Hulk Fashion that literally made me drool. Some pretty amazing vintage Hulk stuff shown there!
Plus check out this commercial from 1980 for the Incredible Hulk shoes shown above! Yeah I know you’ve seen some recent Hulk shoes that were inspired by the movies and I must say they looked pretty terrible. I’d like to get my hands on a pair of 9 and 1/2 Hulk shoes. I wonder if they made them in adult sizes? May have to check ebay for that and a pair of Hulk Underoos!

Yeah check this out, Wolverine needs to take of that damn mask and put on his real one! You’d think Tom Cruise from “Eyes Wide Shut” was coming over to take him to that fancy Kubrick party with Nicole Kidman! Sorry I had a few too many last night and this is the best I could come up with today…

It looks like Marvel has done it again! This time however Northstar is no where to be found (aw poor guy!) and instead we have the mutants of X-Factor who are feeling a bit frisky for the summer! Apparently in the latest issue of X-factor Rictor & Shatterstar share the first same sex kiss in mainstream comics in the presence of Strong Guy who remarks simply “Ok, I didn’t see that coming”. It has been hinted at several times in the series that these two were all about each other but now I think the deal has officially been sealed. I personally can’t beleive it took so damn long! Anyway this is what X-Factors writer Peter David had to say about it:
“I have much more fun tweaking the fans than actually spelling anything out,” David said in an interview with Livewireworld.net. “I certainly don’t think we could say at this point that Rictor is definitively gay. I think we could make the argument that he’s bi, but I don’t see the point at this juncture in spelling it out — not because of any sense of homophobia or anything like that but out of a sense that I think it’s more entertaining and more thought-provoking if we keep it ambiguous.”

1984 was a good year cuz the Sectaurs RULED the toy scene! As a kid i just could not get enough of these guys. They were some of the coolest looking action figures around and had huge insects they rode around on. Plus they had a rad cartoon and Marvel even put out a nifty comic book too about these guys! If you had “The Hive”, which was pretty much a giant insectoid castle as a kid you were pretty much the talk of the neighborhood and if you were allowed to use the hand puppet spider to attack the other Sectaurs it was truely a special honor. Anyway if you never heard of these guys check out this comercial-it seems to me it was pretty much the BEST time to be a kid playing with toys in the 80′s….
