In case you haven’t seen this one yet you need to check out the trailer for the “Where the Wild Things Are” movie set to be released on October 16, 2009! You remember that feeling you got when you watched The Neverending Story for the first time? Judging by this trailer, I think that’s what this movie is going to bring to the table. It’s been quite a while since I have seen a movie that really brought that kind of magic, so I have high hopes for this one!

Wow, there has been alot of word going around lately about ”Evil Dead 4″ and I for one am thrilled about it! It seems that there is a big interview with Sam Raimi coming in the May issue of Empire Magazine where he talks about new film Drag Me to Hell, Spider-Man 4 and yes Evil Dead 4! This is what they had to offer up on on their website about Evil dead 4 in the upcoming interview:

I just watched this again for the first time in like a million years-and it was just as epic now as it was back then. Only back then there was NOTHING you could say ever that would make me believe this shit wasn’t real! I knew it in my heart-no matter what my dad said i knew this was a real damn battle to the finish. Oh man I felt so bad for the Hulkster being betrayed by the mighty Andre the Giant! I FELT betrayed! I remember watching this over at my friend’s house on payperview and being so pumped when the Hulkster came out to kick the Giants ass. So wrestling was real back THEN though right????
Remember that Star Wars movie when Chewy rushed back home for the holidays, well I have found it and here it is for your viewing pleasure.

After putting the Youtube video up yesterday about David Banner in rush hour traffic I thought it would be cool to show you an entire list of ways that he “Hulked Out” in the original live action Tv show from the 70′s starring Bill Bixby & Lou Ferrigno. This list was compiled by Kenneth Johnson the creator of that very series and many other awesome Sci-fi shows like V, Alien Nation and the Bionic Woman. check out his website here at http://kennethjohnson.us/

Here are all the ways listed, and man I am glad my life is no where as unpredictable as Banner’s from the tv show-it’s really unbeleivable the luck this poor guy had. check these out! (more…)

At the time the awesome Archangel made his return to Marvel comics i didn’t have a blog. So beleive me I would have posted this sometime ago and I really wanted to see if they were going to keep him around or if the whole idea was a just part of a short story arc. Well it appears that he is back for real in the pages of the awesome revamped Marvel title X-Force (athough it seems none of the other X-titles acknowledge his return as this character yet).

It seems like only yesterday that we all heard Sam Raimi make the announcement at Comic Con about the official news that Evil Dead 4 finally had the Green Light with the film’s popular star Bruce Campbell reprising his role as the iconic Ash once more. But what has happened since this was revealed? This is what I found out from the movies blog on Mtv.com on March 23, 2009:
For a few years now, there’s been ample talk of revising the Sami Raimi helmed “Evil Dead” franchise with star Bruce Campbell telling MTV last Spring that a 4th installment of the horror-comedy film would not feature a younger sidekick to give it more contemporary juice as many sit-coms in the past have done so to desperately revive their ailing product. Back then, only a year ago Campbell was raring to go.

Forget what you’re hearing about Kenner’s Super Powers line being the caviar of 80′s super hero toys. The truest were Mattel’s Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars action figures. These amazing toys were an outlet for (all hail) Jim Shooter to sell us Marvel Comic’s mega-event Secret Wars, though strangely enough, there were no Beyonder or Molecule Man figures produced. Even stranger is the fact that Marvel authorized figures of Constrictor, Hobgoblin and Baron Zemo: all of whom had nothing to do with Secret Wars!!
Not only are Marvel characters better than DC’s, but Secret Wars was one of the greatest ‘events’ of the 1980′s (only to be outdone by Secret Wars II of course) and totally kicked DC’s Crisis on Infinite Crisis’ event during that time. Plus Secret Wars figures all came with secret-decoder lenticular shields! Check out some of the awesome commercial and several of the great characters created for this line if you need further proof:

Anyone remember DC’s Super Powers Collection action figures from the 80′s? They were probably the best action figures ever! They today still look amazing and there were soooo many of them. They made figures of some pretty obscure characters too. My favorites were The Red Tornado, the Joker, Penguin, Brainiac and the Flash but they were all pretty amazing really.
